It seems the older we get the less we use our imaginations. When we are kids we are always drawing and creating. We imagine new worlds full of imaginary characters in which there are no rules, no rights or wrongs, and we don’t care what others may think. As kids we have no concept of the word cant. Then we grow up and somewhere along the way we lose all that. Imagination takes a back seat. It is not a trait that is desirable anymore. We lose the ability to escape from the realities that come with adulthood. We have to fit in and conform, it is no longer ok to use our imaginations to escape to a world all our own. In this way I have yet to grow up I enjoy creating a world all my own, to manipulate as I please, create things never seen, get lost in the process of patterns and lines, the colors, meticulous detail. To feel the wonder the way you would when you’re a kid. This is something I can never let go of.
The titles of my work are an integral part meant to make the viewer stop and take a second look. To view it in a whole knew way. Creating a story of sorts for the viewer to play out in their mind. My work is intended to pull the viewer in and remind them of the stories they read as a kid. I want the viewer to return to that feeling of wonder they would escape to as a child.

Adam Hayes
Adam Says Hello
Adam Hayes refers to himself as an ‘illustration & animation try-hard’ which might explain the MA in Illustration & Animation from Kingston he was going on about about last year. Once touted as “the future heavyweight champion of the world”, Adam has now settled into the quieter life of an illustrator producing bright and terribly clever images for the likes of Electric Fleapit, SW Craft Club and the University of the Arts London. Adam would like to make animated music videos in the future, he also says hello. Do the same?

Paige Halsey Warren is an optimistic artist from Massachusetts. After getting her BA from University of Vermont for Studio Art with a minor in Theatre (to feed her passion for Costume Design, History, and Construction), she moved back to the Bay State to become a character animator. In order to do that, she is currently pursuing a Certificate in Animation from Rhode Island School of Design.
She’s currently freelancing and consigning artwork with various companies. Love her work? She’s always happy to answer questions or send her resume, just send a message!
