The Backburner Studio
I’m one-half of The Backburner Studio, a husband & wife team. We’ve spent most of our adulthood so far putting artistic dreams on hold. Backburner is our dream becoming reality.
Our styles are definitely eclectic… some might even say “all over the place.” We maintain that it’s just exercising our right to be artistically indecisive.

This is where I can let out what ever there is I cant see onto paper; the computer screen, through a lens what ever it may be - it will be here!

I love making art with whatever I can get my hands on, I especially enjoy how nature collides with the city around us.

Tales from the eddas
I am a spanish 25 year old artist. Graduated in Fine Art and currently I have an exhibition in Portugal. For me painting and drawing are like breathing and I love every single thing that can be inspirational and that makes me just want to create something new. I am open to different styles and tools as I believe in art as freedom. But if I have to choose, watercolors and markers always come with me.

The real breakthroughs happen when you least expect them: under pressure, during banal conversation, in a meltdown. At first, these breakthroughs seemed random and unrelated to each other; for three years it was this way. With all the blessings of persistence came the bittersweet burden of stubbornness. I was stubborn. When I thought I knew it all, my deaf ear haplessly sheltered my fears. After spinning wheels again and again, I conceded. The source of this perpetual cycle wasn’t coming from the outside. There wasn’t a satisfying answer that would neatly solve all my personal conundrums, so I went inward. I never knew it all to begin with and perhaps it was time to shut up and listen. Not surprisingly, it worked.
