MY WORK INVESTIGATES ISSUES OF IDENTITY IN THE WORLD AND OF THE SELF.
CO-MORBIDITY, ISSUES OF DEPRESSION, FEMINISM, BODY DYSMORPHIA AND SELF-HARM ARE SOME TOPICS OF INTEREST THAT I PURSUE.
I OFTEN USE SYSTEMS OF GAMING AND POP CULTURE REFERENCES TO CREATE AN IDENTIFIABLE, OFTEN SPONTANEOUS, VISUAL VOCABULARY THAT EMBODIES THE SENSATIONS OF THE DAY/WEEK/ MONTH/ YEAR,/LIFE.
I AM AN OPEN BOOK. THESE ARE MY PAGES.

My work is a compilation of illusive realities, inspired by real world encounters, daydreams and nightmares, children’s television programs, and people. By encompassing both traditional and digital mediums into my work, I am able to create abstracted actualities, heightening the sense of imagination and expression of creative power. My intent is to look beyond what we see daily through our own two eyes and to instead look into our mind’s eye; to encourage the youthful subconscious into the light, and to exploit the curiosity of childish fantasy into our everyday lives.

Just a self taught artist with one thing in mind and that’s to paint in a way that it pulls a person into my artworks. I ask the question, do you feel you can reach behind the painted flower and pluck it off the canvas? If so then my floral paintings have accomplish my goal by activating your mind and making you apart of the artwork. Not only is this in floral oil paintings but also in landscapes and my wildlife oil paintings. To accomplish this I use artist oil paint colors.
To me my artwork is achieving realism on a canvas. In an illustrative way it’s like a person looking out a window at a wonderful scene. The window is the canvas, the scene is my artwork and the person look out is you being completely apart of and thoroughly involved in viewing the artwork. If I can do this, I am very happy knowing I’ve made you happy and reached my goal.

My art represents me…weird.
Born with 4 fingers I realised I was different and so are my views on the world. Follow me as I show you my world of insomnia, deformity and Jack Daniel’s.
HIGH 4,
Lu-Key.
