Lightup is a visual artist, illustrator, designer, and event coordinator. He promotes kindness and patience whenever possible.
My name is Luis, I was born in 1985 and I am currently living in Madrid. I have studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid where I won a few exhibition prizes and imparted extraordinary lectures on rendering, renderers and lighting techniques using 3D Software. Right now I split up my time between the 360º marketing agency CDoble working as creative designer specialized in Visual Merchandising and exhibiton design, and Aerial, my own initiative. My creative interests are hybridations of all kinds, duality and fragmentation as a recurrent theme, and light as narrative technique. Probably my strongest stylistic and philosophic influence is the Renaissance, but Baroque, Art Nouveau and street art Graffiti also influenced the way I use my canvas not as a closed space but making it an active participant of the space surrounding it, and using that space for the work´s benefit. Limitation bores me, so I try to stay fresh with varied themes, canvases and techniques which allow me to achieve my goals, from physics or hydraulics to arquitecture, music or psicology to philosphy, video games and literature.
I’m a very amateur comic artist, with a silly little group of superheroes that I draw everyday. I’m still developing my style, which I’m desperately trying to break from my ‘anime and manga’ phase from my early teens. I’m trying to get some more people to see my art, specifically my cartoons, which really broke me free from the prison that was highschool portraiture. I rarely create fan art from anything, but upon request I am more than happy to comply. Feel free to ask any questions or even ask for requests!
Hi there, my name is Andrés Lozano. I’m an illustrator from Madrid, Spain. I mainly do illustration, but I’m also into animation, painting, zines and design. I’m slightly obsessed with imposible architectures and film noir.
Fairy tales, adventure, unicorns. Unicorns until I die.
I make paintings, and cute digital drawings. I also enjoy creating some pixel art stuff.
I’m Mike, a South African by birth, now residing in Atlanta, GA.
I love my wife, pens, paper, heavy metal and black clothing.
I enjoy drawing on any surface I can find, I like doing it with something permanent and black.
Currently doing my BFA in a little art and design program. I am often inspired by focal points of emotion in human expression and simplicity-especially in street art.
I’m a 30-something graphic designer, who’s always dreamed of working in comics and animation. A brush with the fine arts world, I went back to school at 30 to get my BA in Graphic Design. I’ve had brushes in animation and comics, but I’ve found my place in game design (both pen/paper RPGs and indie Video Games).
